Ryan & Alysha were married at their parents estate in Woodleigh Gippsland on Sunday 26th January 2014. The Gippsland wedding photography was taken on location at the farm itself.
Here are some words from the bride herself about their how they met, their relationship and the wedding itself…
Q. When and how did you meet? And what were your first thoughts?
A. We first laid eyes on each other at our mutual friend’s NYE party in Inverloch 2009/2010. A few months on Ryan then invited me over for a home cooked roast and we haven’t missed a day without talking to one another since.
Q. When and how did the proposal take place and how did you feel?
A. December 25th 2012 – We were staying at Ryan’s Grandparents (Jim and Marg Walker) sheep farm in Avenel, Victoria, a place where Ryan spent a lot of his time growing up and a place that he will always cherish.
Christmas morning we woke up early and took our dog, Dusty for a run around the farm, as we came back to the house Ryan insisted that we walk up to the front driveway which we did, it was there at the top of the driveway where he dropped to one knee, presented the ring and popped the big question. After a few second crying I finally said YES! It was a beautiful surprise to me as I had no idea.
Q. Where are you going on your honeymoon?
A. We will spend 4 nights in luxury accommodation at the Grampians together and plan to take 2 weeks off later in year and head to the pacific islands.
Q. What are your future plans together?
A. We are both looking forward to completing renovations on our property and starting our own family together in the future.
Q. Where is your ceremony and reception being held and why did you choose these venues?
A. Our Ceremony and reception will both be taking place on Alysha’s parents farm (Vince and Shirley Tamburo), the beautiful ‘Tamburo Estate’ in Woodleigh. We have both always loved the country views and couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate this special occasion.
