Trenavin Chapel Wedding – James & Tahlia

James and Tahlia’s Trenavin Chapel wedding located on Phillip Island.  Below are some words from our bride and groom about their wedding, how they met and their future together.

Q. When and how did you meet? And what were your first thoughts?
A. We met in November 2012, at our mutual friends’ house. They are both in our wedding party, as Maid of Honor and Head Groomsman. We met several times before we got together. I first thought James was a little shy but once we got to talking I was swept away by his charm. James thought Tahlia was beautiful and had a captivating smile and couldn’t wait to get to know her.
Q. When and how did the proposal take place and how did you feel?
A. On holidays in the South Island of New Zealand, James popped the question at sunrise in Milford Sound. Because he’d got me out of bed I was still in my pajamas! I was ecstatic and couldn’t wait to tell my mum but because of the time difference I had to wait a few hours! James was relieved it had all gone well and I’d said yes.
Q. Where are you going on your honeymoon?
A. No honeymoon planned at this stage.
Q. What are your future plans together (e.g. buying a house/starting a family)
A. We already own a house and a business together and have a son. In the future we would like to buy our dream home on acreage, buy another business and have more children.
Q. Where is your ceremony and reception being held and why did you choose these venues?
A. Our ceremony is being held at Trenavin Chapel. We chose the chapel because of the amazing view and how gorgeous the chapel itself is. Our reception is at the Rhyll Hall with a food van as catering. We chose the hall as we are Rhyll locals.
Q. What does your wedding dress look like? Please give a detailed description and also include any accessories including jewellery and shoes.
A. My dress is a champagne ball gown with ivory lace detail. It has diamante cap sleeves, a diamante belt and I have a pearl and diamante veil. I have patent nude heels.
Q. Do you have a Theme or style to your wedding? And if so, what is it?
A. Traditional
Q. Hair & Makeup – please describe what your hair and makeup is like and who the suppliers are.
A. I will have natural make up, with a low-bun and veil with flowers. De Boss Beauty
Q. Who is the person conducting your service? (celebrant, minister, priest etc).
Q. Florist – what are your flowers like & who is the supplier?

The bridesmaids bouquets are roses, gyp and gum and flower girls’ are gyp, all by The Willow Branch in Drouin.
Q. Wedding Favours & Cake – what are they like and who is the supplier?
